Salisbury, NC (March 4, 2024)—StarCom Racing, formerly a NASCAR Cup Series team now a new entry in the Michelin Pilot Challenge Series, announces their second driver for their debut in the TCR #12 Hyundai Elantra at the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120. The accomplished road-racing veteran Andy Lally will take the driver’s seat March 15, 2024, at Sebring International Raceway.
From Atlanta, GA, Lally is the winningest active driver and third on the all-time win list for the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, amassing five total wins. He has over 50 IMSA wins total, garnering the title of one of IMSA’s “50 Greatest Drivers of All Time” award at their 50-year celebration in 2019. His first race for StarCom Racing in this series will start at Sebring, where he has previously won the 12 Hours of Sebring. Lally has been active in the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series since 2011 when he won Rookie of the Year. He was also a podium finisher at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
In January 2024, StarCom Racing announced Nick Tucker as the Sebring co-driver for the #12 Hyundai. Starting at a young age driving go-karts, Tucker quickly rose through the ranks to the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He has generated a successful career using various disciplines including late models, sprint cars, legends, karts, road courses, ovals, dirt and asphalt. He is the founder and owner of Nitro Kart—the most successful team in modern karting—and Nitro Motorsports, a 2023 TA2 Champion with Brent Crews and a current top team in the TA2 Series.
StarCom Racing’s #12 StarCom Fiber Hyundai Elantra will be competing in a limited 2024 schedule. Team founders Derrike and Elyshia Cope along with co-owners Mike and Matt Kohler and Bill Woehlemann bring a wealth of knowledge to the team. Using their experience managing NASCAR Xfinity and Cup teams, they plan on bringing a quality performance to the track as well as top-notch hospitality for sponsors and fans.
